Our Mission
When the church loses touch with its missional identity, it often becomes an event where people are entertained. If a church rejects the marching orders of the “Great Commission” then it will be lifeless and ineffective.
West Side Community Church will relentlessly work to reach “the one” and commission the ninety-nine so that Jesus’ ways and words bring life to northern Michigan.

Strengthen existing partnerships with ministries that help single moms, unwed mothers, and hurting women.
Use our facility, staff, and Groups to help vulnerable children and hurting families.
Start and grow counseling and mentoring programs for those hurting, abused, and grieving.

Strengthen a children’s program that already focuses on the gospel and discipling children, and not just babysitting to free up adults.
Build out a playground, activity areas outside, and programs and offer them to underserved and needy families outside our church.
Offer counseling and care to marriages in tension.

Develop leaders, lay and vocational, for church ministry.
Plant/revitalize churches in northern Michigan.
Adopt an unreached people group globally. Provide funding and people to translate the Scriptures, evangelize, and train and commission national leaders for a self-sustaining church.
